All lessons are taught individually: one student and Ms. Finch.… every time. 

Our students consistently make remarkably fast progress, reversing the heavy burden of reading failure. Results are backed by a decade of student records and five-star Google reviews, and parent testimonials.

All students are required to attend four 45  minute lessons every week, Monday - Thursday.

Typical program duration is four to eight months, depending upon individual student needs.

Our method of structured literacy instruction is based in the Science of Reading and is in alignment with best practices in literacy instruction according to the National Reading Panel report of 2000, commissioned by Barbara Bush. 

We have combined the best of Orton Gillingham with the best of Reading Recovery. 

Then, we pared down the curriculum to only the core elements (got rid of the fluff), added our own specialized multi sensory techniques and as much repetition as necessary for the child to reach automaticity, beyond mastery level. 

Methods are in alignment with neuroscience to train executive functioning skills. Each moment of instruction is expertly scaffolded to keep the child in their own zone of proximal development (Vygotsky). All methods are trauma informed for restoration of the child's emotional and spiritual state.
